BATON ROUGE, LA – Aztek Fire Safety (AFS) is proud to announce it is the technology provider supporting a long-term collaboration between the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) and Verisk’s Insurance Services Office (ISO®) business. The NASFM and Verisk’s ISO public safety initiative aims to help verified sprinkler protection be more consistently reflected in fire safety grading, supporting fire officials, insurers, and consumers. By leveraging granular sprinkler system data, the initiative advances fire safety efforts, improves emergency response awareness, and strengthens property risk evaluation across the United States.
AFS’s software, i-Trax®, is a cloud-based platform that delivers standardized, auditable, real-time fire and life safety system data across jurisdictions. AFS and NASFM have an Affinity Partnership which delivers NASFM access to i-Trax®. This partnership creates consistency in inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) activities as NASFM supplies decades of fire service leadership, subject matter expertise, and standardized inspection forms.
The platform is available at no cost to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and includes a suite of core business tools that are free for contractors, which reduces a contractor’s reliance on fragmented and expensive software systems.
i-Trax® capabilities include:
“i-Trax® was built to support the fire service and the broader safety ecosystem with a trusted, real-time compliance infrastructure,” said Nitin Kamath, Founder and CEO of Aztek Fire Safety. “We are honored to support NASFM's vision by providing technology that helps standardize compliance processes, improves operational visibility, enhances responder awareness, and enables more informed risk evaluation.”
By providing access to reliable inspection, testing, and maintenance information, i-Trax® supports more accurate and consistent community risk evaluations, and more informed insurance risk assessments for property and business owners. Additionally, it can help improve the quality and availability of sprinkler protection data that may be considered as part of Verisk’s ISO Public Protection Classification (PPC®) program and insurer risk assessments. Used by more than 250 insurers, Verisk ISO PPC evaluates the fire protection capabilities of approximately 40,000 communities based on factors including emergency communications, fire departments, water supply and community risk reduction programs.
NASFM and Verisk’s ISO conducted pilots using i-Trax® with multiple state and local agencies in Florida, North Carolina, and Texas.
ISO® and Public Protection Classification (PPC®) are registered trademarks of Insurance Services Office, Inc., a Verisk business.
